Remembering 2011...

1. What did you do in 2011 that you’d never done before?

being involved as an active participant of my son's birth process.
Yes, I'm the one who was crawling and screaming from the birth table, trying hard not to damage my eyes' pupils during the process because my doctor said that I am in a big risk of being blind during the birth process. 

Whether he's telling the truth or just want to get more money through the Caesar procedure, I never know.
My midwife, my mom, cousin in-law, and my husband have done great job helping me get through the entire process smoothly.

The ABC's of Me...

I know I haven't made a lot of blogger friends right now, but I sure hope there will be a lot more to come in the future. This is why, I make this post just to help you guys, who happen to stumbled upon my blog, to know me better. Hopefully, we can find some similarities to start new friendship.
I would also love to read your ABCs, and finding out interesting things in your life.

A. Age: 26 (per December 2011)

B. Bed size: King size since I share it with my husband and baby, but I prefer a smaller one when there are just the two of us ;)

C. Chore you dislike: "house" chores hehehe.. I'm bad in cleaning my own room, so you can imagine the rest... I don"t have any problem with doing the dishes though..

Happy 5 Month Birthday My Rafa

Rafa 4 Months Birthday

Rafa turns 4 months today

 

He loves to sleep prone

 

meeting new people, 

 

starts to eat soft porridge, 

 

loves being held upright and trying to stand, 

 

and being a nice boy while at the Mushola with Opa for maghrib prayer time. 

You make us so much happier little Rafa ♥

Lovey, Yes or Not?

Lovey adalah sebutan untuk benda kesayangan balita (umumnya berupa selimut atau sering disebut blankie) yang kadang-kadang sering menjadi benda paling berharga bagi si bayi. Ada anak yang ga bisa bobo kalau ga meluk atau mencium-cium lovey-nya, bahkan ada yang suka ngamuk kalau lovey-nya dicuci. Lovey, yang didaerah saya disebut sebagai aktifitas "mentil", sering menjadi pengantar tidur atau penenang yang paling mujarab.

Umur berapakah bayi Anda mulai menggunakan diapers?

Rafa mulai memakai diapers setelah usianya 2 minggu. Sebelumnya saya memakai popok kain biasa yang harus langsung diganti setiap kali Rafa pipis. Penggunaan diapers ini merupakan salah satu penyesuaian yang saya lakukan supaya bisa berdamai dengan si bayi.

Menggunakan diapers ada positif dan negatifnya,

Positifnya:

- bayi merasa lebih nyaman sehingga tidurnya lebih lelap

- ga perlu mencuci setumpuk popok kain setiap hari

- saya bisa lebih banyak beristirahat 

Negatifnya:

- diapers cukup mahal

- bayi beresiko terkena ruam popok jika memakai diapers terlalu lama

The Baby is Making Faces

Rafa sudah hampir 2 minggu sekarang,
Diantara begitu banyak hal baru yang mulai Panda dan Mandanya temui selama 12 hari ini, mimik-mimik lucu Rafa adalah favorit saya.

Welcome to the World! The Birth Announcement

Akhirnya, setelah tepat 40 minggu penantian, the most awaited baby in the family has arrived!

Seperti yang dicantumkan di birth announcement diatas, Rafa lahir sedikit melebihi berat rata-rata (untunglah saya baru tau setelah si baby lahir, kalo dari awal dah dikasih tau kalo beratnya 4 kilo lebih kayaknya bakal mutung duluan deh :D )

Anyway.. the birth story akan segera menyusul, I hope you can bear with me karena akan ada banyak sekali cerita mengenai pengalaman pertama menjadi orang tua dan seorang ibu khususnya disini ^_^
